DAY 1 Day 1 – Cochin City to Munnar (160 km /4 hours)

Cheeyappara Waterfalls is a famous destination of tourists visiting Munnar. Munnar, known as Swiss of South India, has a varying terrestrial terrain that consists of water cascades, rolling hills, verdant valleys, dense forests and tea, coffee and spice plantations.Cheeyappara Waterfalls is one among the many waterfalls of Munnar, which is located at a distance of about 38 km from the town centre.
Valara Waterfalls Located between Adimaly and Kothamangalam, at a distance of 42 kms from Munnar. Valara is a land of breathtaking waterfalls. Very beautiful down pour clear and chilly water from a peak amidst dense forest. The waters cascade down a hill from a height of about 1000 m. Valara Falls nose-dives into forested ravine below the road. Very impressive sight. Valara waterfalls are surrounded by lush, dense forests that are home to a wide variety of small animals and birds.
Blossom International Park is about 3 km away from Munnar town and it spreads over 16 acres. It is a peaceful location to enjoy a calm and relaxing nature walk admiring flowers and surrounding green hillside. The park offer many activities for tourists like boating, cycling, roller skating etc.
Pothamedu view point is a popular destination of tourists visiting Munnar. Pothamedu is famous among trekkers and nature lovers for its view point. Pothamedu View Point is situated about 6 km from Munnar on NH 49.
Pothamedu View Point provides a panoramic view of Munnar, adjoining valleys and Muthirapuzha River. The lush green vegetation in the place with cardamom and tea plantations gives a rich aura to the place. Night dinner and rest in hotel.

DAY 2 Day 2 – : Munnar sightseeing

Today morning after breakfast visit Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1,600 m above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji.
mattupetty dam the beautiful hill station of mattupetty is a 13 km drive away from munnar. The mattupetty lake and dam is enroute to top station and is situated at an altitude of 1700 m. You will often see people enjoying a lazy picnic here. Visitors love the panoramic view of the dam surrounded by wooden hills and tea plantations. Which has an artificial lake built by a small hydroelectric project. (speed boating facilities are available here but at your own cost)
Echo point is situated about 13 km away from munnar town, towards the top station or top slip. Echo point is a phenomenon found in most of the hill stations. Munnar also has an echo point at a scenic lake bank. At echo point, people can clearly hear their loud voice echoing within the reservoir.echo point is also a picnic spot where tourists as well as natives love to stroll along the misty green slopes of the lake (speed boating facilities are available here but at your own cost)
Rajamalai National Park is a must-visit at Munnar. Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park is situated in Devikulam of Munnar. It is situated about 15 km away from Munnar town at a base elevation of about 2000 m above sea level.
Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park is the natural habitat of highly endangered species of mountain goats called Nilgiri Tahr or Nilgiri Ibex (Hemitragus hylocrius). Tourists visiting Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park can find small herds of Nilgiri Tahr grazing along the grasslands. Nilakurinji plants, rare species limited to the hill ranges of Munnar, can be found along the hill sides of this national park.

DAY 3 Day 03 MunnAr – Thekkady (110 Kms / 3.5 Hours)

Today After Breakfast Depart For Thekkady By Road. DAY 4 Day4 :Thekkady–Alleppey(145km/4hours).

Morning after breakfast , continue your journey to Alleppey. Reach Alleppey and board into the houseboat by 12 noon. Relax and enjoy whilst the houseboat cruises through the waterways. By 13:30 hrs, houseboat will stop for lunch on board 14:30 hrs it will continue its cruise covering the vast stretch of backwaters. Relish tea and snacks onboard. By 18:00 hours houseboat will drop an anchor for an unforgettable night in the backwaters.
Houseboats are huge, slow moving exotic boats used for leisure trips. They are the remodeled version of kettuvallams of olden times which were used to carry tons of rice and spices. The present day house boat is a private boat with fully furnished spacious bath attached bed rooms, hygiene kitchen, dining area and private front deck to capture the beauty of the back waters.
The houseboat check in time is 12 noon and the cruise and stay will be for 20 hours. During the cruise you will witness a full range of life’s and activities and some mind boggling sceneries.

DAY 5Day 5 Alleppey- Cochin Departure(60 km /2hour)

morning After breakfast at 8 AM, houseboat will start cruising again. Houseboat will drop you at Alleppey Jetty by 9 AM. Timely transfer to Cochin
Fort Kochi, a small village close to the suburbs of the main city. With panoramic beaches all along the coastline, you can see the famed Chinese fishing nets and sailing ships. The beautiful village and countryside is lined with old Victorian era styled bungalows, a reminiscent of the European settlements. This location was the first settlement of the Europeans in Kochi.
EMarine Drive is a 1.75 km long beautiful promenade, which has been built facing the backwaters of Kochi. One of the most popular hangout areas for the locals as well as tourists in the city, Marine Drive is a walkway. Featuring numerous shopping malls and fast food joints, this place is an important hub of economic activities in Kochi. Tourists visit this place during evenings, to catch a glimpse of rising sun over the sea mouth.
